Martha and Mary Magdalene

For this exercise, I repainted the baroque painting Martha and Mary Magdalene by Caravaggio.

The task was to reconstruct the original work but to replace the background with a self-designed perspective drawing.

This created a tension between classical painting technique and spatial interpretation, where I explored how background and context can influence the narrative of the image.
