Projects
In addition to the design studios, I also had subjects like Expression, Media, and Positioning, each of which contributed to my development as a designer in their own way. They provided space for experimentation, reflection, and the refinement of my visual language. - Below is a selection of assignments.
Expression
For this assignment, I designed a space-within-a-space at a location of my choosing. I selected Schuddevisstraatje in Ghent, just in front of the Hot Club. The loaded history as a former alley with an erotic past inspired me to create a design in which forms and imagination subtly refer to that context, translating it into a new, layered spatial experience.
Media
Here I learned to work with collage techniques and the digital combination of images. From hand-drawn illustrations, I created a series of image frames that I scanned and edited in Photoshop. This eventually led me to develop a short GIF video, composed of my own drawings and digital montage.
