Pimenta Palace

During my Erasmus semester in Lisbon, I worked on a design study focused on the repurposing of a historical museum building. The task was to design a new volume that creates a logical transition with the existing building, aiming to improve the circulation and experience of the museum.

The new volume functions as a link between different levels and spaces. In my design, the focus was on movement, orientation, and spatial experience.

To achieve this, I developed a set of plans.

This project gave me the opportunity to experiment with the use of colour, materiality, and refined details, and taught me how subtle choices can have a significant impact on spatial experience.
